Last month, I was searching for a good hairdresser's to go to (my usual method of trimming my hair while in a ponytail does NOT work that well).
Here's what I more or less did:
In the end, I narrowed it down to two places and finally, just one.
Then I felt kind of bad.
There were at least 3 hairdresser's just on my way to the store. Why did I ignore them and pick a place that five times further away instead? I don't know if the local hairdressers are good - they could be absolutely incredible! But that's the thing, I don't know if they're good.
I don't have a friend that recommended any of those places to me and so I did the next best thing—looked on the Internet. The hairdresser that presented their place the best and made it look like somewhere I have to be quickly became my favorite.
The Internet. 'Tis a powerful thing.
This whole experience made me think a lot about my own online presence. How am I presenting myself to others? What do they see when they come across me? What do they think?
I'll admit it; although I'm fairly happy with my website, my social media pages could use some work. So that's exactly what I'm doing. Time to make my online shop front look good as well!
